Dr. Jay Thompson Scholarship Haltom High School - GoFundMe

Dr. Jay (Coach) Thompson impacted countless lives while spending his entire 42 year career at Birdville ISD. He has served in many positions including, teacher, coach, athletic director, principal, associate superintendent and interim superintendent. He was more than a teacher, coach and administrator. He was a mentor and father figure to many of his students and athletes. The 1980 / 81 Track team has started a scholarship fund as a way to honor Coach Thompson for the impact he has had on their lives. This scholarship will be awarded to a Haltom High School student athlete this May to help fund their future educational expenses.
