Dr. Grace Brindley Memorial Scholarship Fund

It is with heavy hearts that the Brindley family announces the passing of Dr. Grace J. Brindley. Grace died peacefully among close family on April 18, 2023 at Westchester Medical Center, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Brooklyn in 1939, she lived an amazing life dedicated to her family, education, and her belief in life-long learning. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Peter, her 5 children, 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Grace began her 37-year career in Miller Place teaching art on a cart in the Middle School. She retired as Superintendent having also served as Union President, Principal, Administrator for Curriculum and Instruction, and Director of Personnel. Her dedication to education was shown in her passion and love for teaching and learning.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Miller Place U.F.S.D Scholarship Fund in memory of Dr. Grace Brindley. All monies donated through this Go Fund Me will be donated direct to the Scholarship Fund.
