Dr Fiona Maloney memorial run in aid of Cuan Cancer Centre

Hi everyone!

This June I will be running the Viking Half Marathon in Waterford in memory of my wonderful mum, Fiona Maloney, who passed away on 7th February. For the last few years Cuan Cancer centre has played such an important role in my mums life and they supported her through her journey with cancer, and I want to raise funds to support them as a thank you for the invaluable services they offer to those living with cancer.

Fiona, or mammy, was an incredibly strong woman and she is my biggest inspiration. She did not let cancer overshadow her life in any way but showed us how resilient she truly was by completed her PhD whilst going through cancer treatment and always maintained the most positive outlook on life whilst she was going through the hardest journey one can face.

Life is very different without her and there is not a day that goes by where I don’t miss her, but I know she is always with me, and she will be supporting me during the half marathon in June ❤️
