Dr. Ds Recovery

Hi Everybody,

Our names are Carlos Demond Davis and Jesse David Elijah Williams, and we are the Sons of Ms. Carla Denise Davis affectionately known as "Dr. D.!"

Our mother is a teacher with Bay City ISD. She has been teaching over 35 years and 23 of those years has been with the "Black Cat Family," when we moved here from Ft. Pierce, FL! Even though, I attended Bay City High School 2 years before we moved, to Markham for my Senior year at Tidehaven, my brother Jesse is a product of BCISD from Pierce Elem., Linnie Roberts, McAllister, Bay City Jr. High to Bay City High School Class of 2013!

Many of you do not know, but this School year our Mother has been battling with some serious health issues, to the point in September, we weren’t sure of the outcome, due to her being placed on a ventilator.

She has been hospitalized 4 different times and has undergone 6 surgeries with another one forthcoming!

The reason why we are sharing with you guys today is because we need your help!

Our Mother has NOT been able to work for the past 10 months! She was blessed to return to work on the 1st of May, and worked 15 days, before she unexpectantly, fell ill and was taken to the ER, where they admitted her on the spot for the 4th time to give her some immediate medical attention! But Thanks be unto GOD, she made it through! We know it's only been, because of the Prayers of others and the Mercy & Grace of GOD, as well as the Strong Faith & Determination to live, that our Mother is still here with us today! She has only a few health issues, but we are not at liberty to share at this time. Our Mother was working on her Master's in Ed. Admin.@ Lamar University and had just finished 1 Term with a 4.0 GPA, but was advised to drop the next set of classes because she became too ill to start the next Session! She also had to stop posting for her Ministry "Carla's Corner" for a little while because she was too ill, BUT Thank GOD for those of You who are inspired by her Encouraging Words and kept Supporting her Facebook Page, even when she couldn't post! So, even during all the physical, emotional and financial pain the enemy has inflicted upon our Mother..., SHE IS STILL FIGHTING & STANDING STRONG! We know that She Is HEALED, regardless of what it looks like!

Due to No Work, No Pay! A lot of the medical expenses are not covered by her insurance. And being denied an Extended Sick Leave and a Sick Leave Pool has added an even more financial burden to our family's already stressful situation, as we are concerned already about our Mother's health! She has not earned any income and is being docked daily; which basically means, she is being penalized for not being able to work. She is not eligible for Sick Leave, or a Sick Leave Pool.

We would like to Thank those of You who knew about her illnesses, and have been doing what you can, not only Prayerfully, but Financially behind the scenes, because you know how private she is and doesn't like asking for anything, but rather give to people! Right now, she just can't give because she is the one who NEEDS some Serious Financial HELP!

We are asking You to please be intentional in your giving to help our Mother get through this Financial Hardship and help our Family to focus more on her full recovery and health, rather than these financial woes, which have been adding to the stress of it all.
