What was supposed to be a nice family vacation for the DiBoot Family ( owners of Rowley Animal Hospital and huge asset to wildlife rehabilitators locally ), turned into a nightmare when Dr DiBoot got sick on their cruise ship after arriving in Italy. Dr DiBoot tested positive for Covid and wasn't allowed to board the ship for home. She and her husband were quarantined in a hotel, chosen and mandated by the Italian Government. The hotel cost the DiBoots $500 a night, they could only leave their room for covid tests, which cost them $100 each time and $800 for antivirals. They weren't allowed to leave Italy until they quarantined for 21 days or tested negative for Covid. All in all, the DiBoots have been away from home for 3 weeks, with a tentative return for this Wednesday, which will cost $2000 more for the flight.
With both DiBoot's being out of work for this time, the loss of revenue, plus the added cost and stress of this trip, I know they could use our help. Dr. DiBoot believes this has put them $40,000 in the hole.
Dr. DiBoot didn't ask for help. I reached out to her. The reason is because, she and her husband have been a huge help to wildlife rehabilitators locally, especially me. She has seen, treated and performed surgery on my patients free of charge many times ( one of the patients seen above ). If you remember the story of Hope, the opossum I took that was shot in the eye with a BB Gun, it was Dr. DiBoot that removed the eye, without any cost to me. They give back to our community and I'd like to give back to them. I'll be making the first donation ❤️. Please help if you are able. Any amount makes a difference.
