Dr. Czerwein Helping Build School in Nigeria

Donation protected
Dr. John Czerwein of University Orthopedics, Rhode Island, is once again reaching across borders to support underprivileged children in a rural Nigerian village. Our shared mission is to build a new school with eight classrooms and a library, providing these students with a safe and inspiring place to learn.

The current school structure is in dire condition - walls are cracking, and the roof leaks when it rains. Despite these challenges, the children continue to attend classes with determination and hope. Unfortunately, government resources have not reached this area, and the learning environment remains unsafe and inadequate.

Dr. Czerwein has been a longstanding supporter of this community. In the past, he helped raise funds to install proper toilets so children no longer have to use the bushes, build new desks so they no longer sit on the floor, and provide uniforms, sandals, and books so they can attend school with pride.

While these improvements made a huge difference, the current building can no longer be repaired safely. A new school is urgently needed to ensure the children have a stable, secure place to learn and grow.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who donates and shares this cause. Your generosity will directly impact these children’s education, safety, and future. Every contribution brings us one step closer to giving them the school they deserve.

Thank you for your kindness and support - the children, their teachers, and the entire community are truly grateful.
