Dr Clare Ollayos's Husband Scott

On March 11th Dr Clare Ollayos's husband, Scott "Doc" Fladland, suffered the first of two strokes and has been in the hospital since that time.  On Monday, April 8th he is being transferred to Avantara Rehab in Elgin where he will continue to receive Physical,Occupational and Speech Therapy.The strokes have affected his speech (aphasia-the loss of language or the ability to communicate), his vision (ability to read and see clearly) and the right side of his body, which is weakened. 

They are both self employed.  Scott has not been working and will be unable to work. Clare has had to take time away from her practice and will need to continue to do so as Scott's care and the situation dictates.  The situation is already stressful enough without having to worry about finances.  

Clare Ollayos has done so much for the community of Elgin and many of us have benefitted from her hard work and dedication.  Let's surround her and Scott now with our support through this difficult journey.
