Dr. Chappel Needs Your Help to Recover

Hello. I am Dr. Connie D. Chappel. I am in solo private practice, and have been for the past 39 years. I have also been contracted to perform Social Security Disability evaluations for a different entity for the past 7 years. I have been blessed to have such WONDERFUL patients who have allowed me to render medical care to them over these many years. I absolutely love practicing medicine, I love and adore my patients, and there is nothing in the world that I would rather do than to help other people on their journey to wellness. I certainly wouldn’t want to lose this after all of these years. Unfortunately, as of May 28, 2025 I was stricken with a life threatening illness that required intensive care unit treatment, and subsequent hospital care. This illness has temporarily rendered me unable to sit, stand or walk. Currently (after a long hospital stay - 21 days), I am in the process of a lengthy recuperation period, I am unable to work, unable to see patients, and unable to generate any income. This situation/illness has taken a tremendous mental, physical and emotional toll on me that has become almost overwhelming and I need your help.

I am starting this Go-Fund-Me campaign with an initial goal of $25,000 in order to offset the total loss of income from my private medical practice and the other entity. The funds raised would assist with covering some of the urgent/immediate expenses such as additional hospital fees, office rent, Malpractice Insurance, on-going physical therapy and wound care.
