On March 29th, 2020, Dr. Brandy unexpectedly had to make a trip to the emergency room. Imaging was done, and a large brain tumor was found. The decision was made to go to Mayo Clinic to do further testing. Following those tests they determined it was operable. On May 18th they successfully removed the tumor and determined it was a Glioblastoma. With this diagnosis, there are a lot of unknowns and uncertainties that lie ahead for Dr. Brandy and her family. In the months ahead she will need to be traveling back and forth to Mayo Clinic for daily radiation, physical therapy and immunotherapy. Many unknown expenses will arise, such as lodging, food, travel, medical bills, as well as normal expenses back home. Additionally, Dr. Brandy has been unable to work during this time. 

Dr. Brandy is a native of South Dakota and graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2001. She worked as a DC in California for 7 years before returning to Rapid City in September 2007. She was actively practicing at Alternative Health Care Center in Rapid City, SD and at Dietterle Chiropractic in Faith, SD before her diagnosis. 

She is very active in South Dakota rodeo and enjoys life with her husband, Drew and her 3 sons, Gage (15), Zane (7) and Jase (6).
