On Thursday, March 9, we tragically lost our partner and friend, Dr. Bill Wert. For those that had the privilege to know Bill, he was an amazing man. He started his healthcare career as a Physician Assistant at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley ICU. He then graduated from medical school at the Lake Erie College of Medicine and recently completed his general surgery residency at Geisinger Northeast Surgery Residency. Bill recently joined the Geisinger St Luke's general surgery practice. Bill was a true family man. He loved playing catch with his son, reading books to his daughters and taking small trips with his family. Bill was the sole provider for his family. He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Amey, and their three children, Harrison (9), Aurora (7), and Hadley (4). Bill was an all-around good human being who would be willing to help anyone.
