Dr. Bhuwan - Strengthen Animal Welfare Nepal

Hello there,

I am Dr. Bhuwan Giri, a dedicated veterinarian from Nepal, and I'm reaching out with immense hope and excitement. I have an incredible opportunity on the horizon—a chance to attend the International Companion Animal Welfare Conference (ICAWC) 2023 in Nicosia, Cyprus from October 3rd to 5th. My journey as a veterinarian began in Nepal, where I worked tirelessly as a small animal practitioner for over four years. But there's a special story that truly ignited my passion. During my vet school days, I met a street dog and named Bella. She definitely taught me different aspects in life. Her resilience and spirit changed the course of my life. I adopted her, and she became a beacon of inspiration, pushing me to specialize in small animal care and shelter medicine.

Attending ICAWC is a dream I hold dear. It's an opportunity to learn, share, and connect with global experts in animal welfare. The conference covers vital topics such as shelter management, disaster readiness, and responsible antibiotic use, cat shelters —key areas where Nepal's animals desperately need improved practices.

The organizers are generously sponsoring a portion of the conference costs, but it's not enough to cover all expenses. I am not financially strong to bridge the remaining gap, and this is where your support comes in.
