Scott Logan desperately needs our help!  For those who don’t know Scott, he has been a working Location Manager and a valuable member of Teamster Local 399 for several decades. He has mentored many over the years and has helped multiple people out financially…sometimes to his detriment.

Over the past several years, there have been a string of overwhelming financial setbacks that have seriously affected him and he may now lose his house.  Massive termite damage that was not covered by homeowners insurance has cost him well over $200,000 in repair/rebuilding.  His accounting firm failed to pay his taxes for multiple years which he only recently discovered when the IRS started seizing his assets. His back taxes will amount to well over 150k and are now being negotiated with a new accountant (who will cost another 20-40k). He received an SBA loan during Covid for @180k to help fund his home repair that now must be repaid.  He has been in/out of the hospital with a serious staph infection since mid-2022 and almost lost his leg.  The co-pay amounts for his medical costs are staggering and he has been physically unable to work for over 6 months so may lose his insurance coverage next quarter.  There is now a lien on his house which if not paid will result in the fire sale of the house and all contents.  He gave an unscrupulous fellow union member some much-needed financial help and was left holding the bag for $5000. His credit cards are maxed out. He is finally in the works with MPI for disability but it’s taking a while to get it in place. Yes, it’s overwhelming and he’s finally to the point where he admits he seriously needs help.
