Earthquake Relief in Morocco

This is Edward from the Capaldi Hotel and I'm reaching out to all our friends around the world. Many of you will have enjoyed holidays with us and I am sure that you will remember many of our team including Yassine whose photograph is above. We are all devastated by the recent earthquake and you will be able to see the damage to Yassine's village and the inevitable pain in his eyes. At the Hotel little damage has been sustained and passed as safe by a structural engineer. We are committed to helping the people who have been affected in the villages, not only with immediate relief but long-term help to sustain their families and their working animals.

This had been set up with the support of Jarjeer, whom many of you will know is an equine rescue centre close to the Capaldi. We have worked together with the owners for many years and they have readily agreed that the donations should go to their charity account and then directly to the Capaldi Earthquake Appeal as a grant from their Trust in the United Kingdom. Because you are donating to charity it is possible to claim gift aid for UK taxpayers which increase help to the people in need. We will be updating regularly and look forward to hearing from you all. We also look forward to welcoming you back to the Capaldi very soon.
