Hello my friends, I am Reem Al-Farra. I am communicating with you with a heavy heart on behalf of my family, the Al-Farra family - 20 members, including 7 children - who are now living in tents in the open in Rafah. They are urgently seeking to escape this genocide after losing everything after enduring more than 230 days of fear, homelessness, cold, hunger and thirst.....

I have been living in Belgium for a year and today, I find myself in a situation that I never expected. The ongoing conflict in Gaza has left my family in desperate need of help. This war took all their possessions from them, including our homes, money, workplaces, and savings. They are now suffering and struggling to survive.

We are subjected to great injustice. Every member of my family lives a tragic story. I do not know which one to remember.

My father is 60 years old. He sacrificed his life for us. He built a big house for us. We only lived in it for 5 years. He taught us at the best universities in Gaza.

My little sister, Amira, 18 years old, stayed up all night to succeed with a high grade in high school for her dream of becoming a lawyer. She was only able to go to university for 12 days.

My mother 46 years old, who suffers from diabetes, and as you know, a diabetic patient needs the bathroom a lot, after she had a bathroom in her room, now she walks outside the tent more than 50 meters to reach the bathroom.

My brother Mahmoud 24 years old, who needs urgent surgery as he suffers from a torn cruciate ligament in his knee, has begun laying the first stone in his future life, which is owning a house in which his new home has not slept for a single night.

My aunt Ruqaya is 50 years old ‏ and suffers from nerve damage. She now washes clothes with her hands in the extreme cold, cooks over the fire, and suffers from great difficulty in providing care for herself and her children.

Every member of my family is suffering to the point that they wish to die and think it is better for them

Since the beginning of the war, my family have been displaced 4 times. After my family used to live in a spacious, warm house, we are now in tents made of nylon, suffering from cold, fear, hunger, thirst, lack of hygiene, the spread of diseases, and a shortage of everything.

My father, my brothers and my entire family spent their money trying to survive, such as getting flour, water, food, firewood and buying a mattress to sleep on. They have nothing left to spend because they have all stopped working since the beginning of the war and there is no source of income

I raise money for everyone, not just for myself.

Help my family stay in Gaza.

I want to help my little sister study at university outside Gaza after all the universities in Gaza were destroyed. I need more than $10,000, so that my little sister does not lose her dream of becoming a lawyer.

أعيش في بلجيكا منذ عام، واليوم أجد نفسي في وضع لم أتوقعه أبدًا. لقد ترك الصراع الدائر في غزة عائلتي في حاجة ماسة إلى المساعدة. لقد أخذت هذه الحرب منهم كل ممتلكاتهم، بما في ذلك بيوتنا وأموالنا وأماكن عملنا ومدخراتنا. وهم الآن يعانون ويكافحون من أجل البقاء.

نحن نتعرض لظلم كبير. كل فرد في عائلتي يعيش قصة مأساوية. لا أعرف أي واحد يجب أن أتذكره.

والدي يبلغ من العمر 60 عاما. لقد ضحى بحياته من أجلنا. لقد بنى لنا منزلاً كبيراً. عشنا فيها لمدة 5 سنوات فقط. قام بتدريسنا في أفضل جامعات غزة.

أختي الصغيرة أميرة، 18 سنة، سهرت طوال الليل لتنجح بدرجة عالية في الثانوية العامة لتحقيق حلمها في أن تصبح محامية. ولم تتمكن من الذهاب إلى الجامعة إلا لمدة 12 يومًا.

والدتي 46 سنة، تعاني من مرض السكري، وكما تعلمون مريضة سكر تحتاج إلى الحمام كثيراً، بعد أن كان لديها حمام في غرفتها، والآن تمشي خارج الخيمة أكثر من 50 متراً للوصول إلى الحمام.

أخي محمود 24 سنة، والذي يحتاج لعملية جراحية عاجلة حيث يعاني من تمزق في الرباط الصليبي في ركبته، بدأ بوضع أول حجر في حياته المستقبلية، وهو إمتلاك منزل لم ينم فيه منزله الجديد ولا واحد ليلة.

خالتي رقية عمرها 50 سنة وتعاني من تلف في الأعصاب. وهي الآن تغسل الملابس على يديها في البرد القارس، وتطبخ على النار، وتعاني من صعوبة بالغة في توفير الرعاية لنفسها ولأطفالها.

كل فرد في عائلتي يعاني لدرجة أنه يرغب في الموت ويعتقد أن ذلك أفضل له

منذ بداية الحرب، نزحت عائلتي أربع مرات. بعد أن كانت عائلتي تعيش في منزل واسع ودافئ، أصبحنا الآن في خيم مصنوعة من النايلون، نعاني من البرد والخوف والجوع والعطش وقلة النظافة وانتشار الأمراض ونقص في كل شيء.

لقد أنفق والدي وإخوتي وعائلتي بأكملها أموالهم في محاولة للبقاء على قيد الحياة، مثل الحصول على الدقيق والماء والطعام والحطب وشراء مرتبة للنوم عليها. لم يبق لديهم ما ينفقونه لأنهم جميعا توقفوا عن العمل منذ بداية الحرب ولا يوجد مصدر للدخل

أنا أجمع المال للجميع، وليس لنفسي فقط.
