Hi, I’m Kris Turk. On September 4th, Thursday afternoon, I was working on a Bobcat. I had the hydraulic arms removed, and the bucket was resting on top of the mini excavator bucket shaft, about six feet in the air. The machine rolled back about six inches, and the bucket and arms came crashing down, trapping me between the box and the bucket attachment. Over 1,000 pounds pinned me in. I couldn’t breathe. Ray tried to lift it but could only get it an inch up, just enough for me to catch a breath. He ran to grab jacks and used them to raise the bucket just high enough to get me out.
Because of that accident, I ended up with 5 broken ribs, a broken ankle in three places, a bunch of stitches in my head, and more. But without Ray, I wouldn’t be alive to tell the story. I hate asking for help, but here I am. Thank you in advance.
