On Saturday, August 11th, Carter Crutchfield was in a serious car accident while riding with his paternal grandparents and sister. Sweet Carter was injured severely and has been in the ICU at Riley Children's Hospital ever since. He has just completed his second surgery and has more to come. All of his parents have stayed vigil at his side and family and friends have been coming together to help care for the other 3 kids, Steph/Ryan's home & also Steph's disabled parents, Chris & Ben. Carter has a long and hard road ahead of him. Anyone that knows the Lerman family knows they would give a stranger the shirt off their back. 

Literally hundreds of people have asked how they can help. Here is how:

First and foremost: PRAYERS. They are felt, appreciated and needed. Carter is an incredible kid and he and his family can use every single one of them. 

2nd: If you feel able or inclined, monetary donations would be greatly appreciated and helpful. These donations can go toward so many things to help support Carter and his care, the other kiddos, transportation from Fortville to downtown Indy, and whatever else the family may need.
 
3rd: Steph's dad Ben unfortunately had a stroke the week prior to Carter's accident. He has been in both the ICU and now the rehab hospital since. Even after discharge from rehab, Ben is still on restrictions for assisting Chris physically due to the stroke. Because Both Steph & Ben help with Steph's mom Chris' care, they need HELP.  HUGE HELP. Chris needs assistance with transfers and dressing each morning and evening. If you feel comfortable, we will have a Sign Up Genius for this.
