One bright light no longer shines in Big Bear City as we mourn the loss of Andrew Phillip Stivers, 50, who unexpectedly passed on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Andy was a good man who let his Love Light shine bright every day and he put that Love Light into everything he did! He had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Let us not forget how wild his hair could be! For ten years Andy was the best damn delivery driver Domino's Pizza ever had. Some weeks he drove as many as 1,500 miles! Between pizza deliveries, softball teams, cheer practice, kid pick up and drop off, wood chopping, wrenching on cars and 4x4 trips to Pioneertown, Andy was connected to the entire community. Andy had been touching lives his whole life. He made lasting impressions on everyone he met.
Andy and Andrea had a passionate, thirteen year fairy tale love affair that began as a friendship almost four decades ago. Andy and Andrea began their married life in 2011 as a blended family and added one more.
Life gets in the way of living. COVID took hold of the country and Andrea's injuries from a car accident drastically reduced their combined income. Andy stepped up his game as he cheered his family on. He continued with work while dutifully driving Andrea to all of her doctor appointments off the mountain. Andrea's injuries are serious and she will need surgery later this year that will render her unable to work while she heals.
All donations received will cover mortgage and bills, allowing Andrea to have and recover from surgery without worry.
Please donate what you can here OR make time to donate time as Andrea, Sophia and Cassie will need help on their property.
Andy is survived by wife Andrea, daughters Cassie and Sophia and sons Karl and Andrew. His mother Terry, brother Matt and wife Pam, nieces Ashley and Hayley and nephew Tyler.
Thank you Andy for being such a bright light. You will always be in our hearts!
