The Schwartz family is facing an unimaginable tragedy. Colby, the beloved son of Michael Schwartz Jr., experienced a drowning accident while swimming with his cousin in Florida during a family visit with his Mom Tonia, on Monday 12-2 in the evening hours. Colby was airlifted to the hospital, where he remains on a ventilator, battling significant lung and heart damage. The family awaits further updates on his condition following an MRI, but they know the road ahead will be long and uncertain.

Michael is currently by his son’s side during this critical time, but the costs of flying to Florida, securing accommodations, and covering essential expenses are a heavy burden.

Currently Colby is in the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital For Children.

12-5-24 He hasn’t been awake, only reacting when suctioning or dental care causes discomfort, moving his arms, legs, and trying to sit up. One eye is slightly open, with pupils dilating normally under light. If they can reduce ventilator support, they’ll do a brain MRI tomorrow to assess for damage. There was significant water in his lungs, and it’s unclear how long he was submerged.

*12-5-24 No changes yet… MRI is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon… They are starting to slowly back down on his meds and ventilator.
