Help us keep our home

Hello there my name is Shawna and anyone who knows me knows I dont like asking for help. I'm stubborn that was which got me into this situation I guess. I help everyone I can and have no problem helping them get help...but for myself not so much.... So 2 years ago we all had to move in with my mom to help take care of her because she couldnt be alone anymore and was sick. So shortly after that I had to leave my job to take care of her around the clock. Sadly we lost her a year ago just as covid was hitting down here in Cape Breton. So after losing by mom, my best friend I was a mess as you can only imagine. She left me the house which I grew up in and was now raising my children in, plus that my grandfather built with own hands and my dad was born in. So there is a small 2nd mortgage left owing on it. So I asked the bank if the could hold the payments off for a while because I was only getting EI and I wasnt with it yet in my head over losing her. So that turned on me after a while. Now they wanted all the arrears in full in order for me to continue payments. I didn't have that to give so I have been working on getting it but every avenue I went I was getting NO....because I wasnt working no bank or private lender would help me. So I have been served forclosure papers and they want all arrears paid plus lawyer fees and I will be able to stop the forclosure and get back to making the payments. The amount they want is $8109.38...I hate asking for help but I need all I can get. My girls are worried we will be homeless and I really feel like a terrible mom that I cant even keep this roof over thier heads..things just snowballed and I have tried so many different things but no help. I have to have this by the end of this month or the forclosure starts....any help would be so appreciated so we can stay in our home....every little bit helps...please share as well...thank you for any help you can give ❤❤
