DPhiE's Carissa Brtalik Commemoration Fund
Donation protected
Carissa Brtalik was an honored Founding Sister and member of the Delta Phi Epsilon Lambda Chapter at Adelphi University. Carissa has touched all of our hearts and we remember her for her strength, positivity, and generosity. Her smile was bright enough to light up the darkest of days and her creativity was as boundless as the stars. Carissa's optimism, charisma, laughter, and kindhearted spirit was contagious and never-ending. Her sorority number is the infinity symbol: a commemoration of her love of math and now a reminder of her profession as an Adjunct Math Professor at Berkeley University. Carissa deeply enjoyed the arts and was often found crafting with her sisters or using her incredibly talented photography skills. As a chapter, we mourn the loss of our sister and will forever cherish her memory deep within our hearts.
Our sisters are working to keep her spirit, memory, and lasting impact alive and well on Adelphi University's Garden City campus by raising money for a commemorative plaque. Extra proceeds will be donated to a charity that embodies her spirit.
