Doyle CA, Laura 2 Fire Victims
Donation protected
My names is James Bronneke I am a Fire Captain in Lassen County, My Self and Amber Catron who is a Volunteer Firefighter for the Doyle Volunteers are starting this Go Fund Me account for the victims of the Laura 2 Fire. We both responded to the incident and just as so many other departments and firefighters, we did everything we could to stop the fire from progressing. Now that the fire is out, we are continuing our duty to serve and protect our community by trying to help in any way possible. Many of the victims of this fire work for or have family that work or have worked at Sierra Army Depot. Our community is small and the families that fill the Doyle area are hard working and loyal Americans that deserve to get back on their feet as soon as possible.
The Incident: On November 17th, 2020 a wind driven fire ravaged the community of Doyle Ca. It started in the early afternoon and within a couple of hours had completely destroyed 19 homes, 30 out buildings and covered over 2,000 acres. With gusts of wind in excess of 85 miles per hour at times, the fire was extremely difficult to stop. Local Fire Departments as well as other departments from multiple counties were called in to assist with the fires containment.
Many families are currently displaced and in need of assistance. Donations will be given to the families affected by the fire which couldn't have happened at a worse time of year.
Families need everything from basic toiletries to rebuilding their homes and lives. In addition, many of the fire victims have lost their means of transportation as they were completely destroyed in the fire.
All help and donations are crucial to these families getting their lives back, thank you for your support and please reach out for any questions.
