Malcolm is a roadside mechanic in the New Orleans area for almost 25years. He was diagnosed with diverticulitis a few years ago when he was rushed to the hospital after feeling ill for a few weeks. We learned he would need multiple surgeries to repair the damage in his intestines. Though the surgeries were successful he suffered for many months actually years trying to recover and heal but partially never healed completely Malcolm was rushed to Emergency again last month when his intestines ruptured after 8 years and he knew something was seriously wrong. He then underwent ANOTHER surgery for 12hrs on 9/6. While still in the hospital he has developed pneumonia, and has been in a medical induced coma for the past week to assist healing plus he still has complications after this recent surgery. He has been in the hospital for 3wks with 1wk in ICU already, Doctors are saying Months not Weeks before he can even come home. He is strong and we are helping him fight through this! Malcolm still has another surgery to be done after his bout with pneumonia before he can start the healing process and come home, but unfortunately the medical and household bills he has are starting to add up. Anything you can donate to Malcolm's cause will go toward those bills and helping his family get through this difficult time as it is unclear when or if he will be able to get back to his career as a mechanic.
