GOAL 1: MET! DOWNPAYMENT AMOUNT ACHIEVED! Goal 2 is now active and in Updates (1).
Hi there, my name is Rouvein.
I'm a chronically ill, immunocompromised, permanently disabled adult with an emotional support animal that deals with very limiting physical disabilities (including chron's Disease, fibromyalgia, and chronic tendonitis) as well as cognitive disabilities, autoimmune disorders, and mental health handicaps that make day to day living extremely hard when dealing with chronic stress and chronic fatigue combined.
I have never had any fully safe, functional, stable long-term housing situations and it's at a point where I need to change that: and for that, I need your help.
I grew up through domestic abuse(which landed in me being removed from my home and placed with a grandmother until her home fell apart) which grew into further abusive housing when I moved out of home as an adult. Suffering from sexual, emotional, and physical abuse I made a move nearly 600 miles away from my abuser for safety. I don't have a safe haven to fall back on.
Although I am safe for now- time is ticking and of the essence as I find myself running low on funds, resources, and all around energy. Where I am has a full wait-list for HUD where people have been waiting years and even NEDs(non-elderly disabled housing vouchers) aren't an option to keep me safe. Section-8 waitlists are open only briefly for a few minutes a year and a gamble on who gets in-and I have not made the cut. I have less than 12 months to find a place to keep and stay safe all while dealing with the extremities of my health.
This past year I've been through multiple hospital visits, multiple specialists, over 40 medications, and while I'm doing my best to survive I am admittedly far from thriving or doing well.
I've been fighting to stay alive and never have fully been given a chance to truly start living. Dealing with disabilities that flare up when dealing with stress I've never had even a week where I'm not in extreme, debilitating pain. With your help, I may have a fighting chance to actually start turning things around instead of battling a life-long physical and emotional health crisis.
Money received will be placed forward as down-payment for a trailer/mobile home to allow me to keep and receive stable, safe housing. Any extra funds gathered will also be used towards the over-all payment of the permanent residence to keep me safe and permanently housed.
Mini-Update: As of 03/30/2022 I have been approved for the mortgage and the down payment has been lowered on what we need to put down! What we need is now 1.4k left to put down for the downpayment after what we have saved. Thank you everyone so far for the help, the shares, and helping to keep me safe. It means the world to me.
UPDATES(1): As of 03/30/2022 the original 1400$ goal we needed to meet is now met and I'll now have enough for the downpayment on the mortgage! The total loan amount I was approved for was $33,241.20 (while the house is $35,000). I will keep this open to help pay with the payment plan my seller was willing to do with the mortgage on top/up front(we will be making a signed agreement for a repayment of the rest of the money owned on the home[1,758.80$USD] that the mortgage doesn't cover/isn't covering since I wasn't approved for the full 35k) and use it towards this in the payment plan. Thank you all so much for helping me get a safe place and getting me to a safe point. You're all miracle workers and I can't put into words how much I appreciate everything.
