Charisse says "I'm super passionate about being an asset to mothers and women of color who desperately need a partner and a voice when it comes to their bodies and healthcare".

She is my dear friend and pseudo-sister; a beautiful mama of color who is raising three children and making ends meet as best she can. She loves babies, has a strong mama bear personality, and is a fierce advocate for equality & human rights. I think she would make a great doula, and she is determined to be one!

Charisse is pursuing an education to become a birth and postpartum doula but finances are tight. If you believe we need more WOC as birthworkers in our world, simply want to support her so she can help women & children in the community, or personally know this fine woman, please consider donating.
