In  August of 2017 my husband, Douglas, was diagnosed with Stage IV prostate cancer at age 57.  Douglas has had a long hard fight and his fight just got harder. He's had multiple hospital stays for acute kidney failures, more infections than we can count, postural hypotension and anemia.  And most recently a fistula that required a 6 hour surgery to relieve symptoms; but not repair the fistula.  During the discovery of the fistula they found a lesion on his liver and during the surgery they found evidence of new cancer in his bladder and his kidney.  This has been quite a shock to us and we have no idea what happens next. Chemo? Early retirement? Disability? Or maybe they are wrong and it's not really new cancer at all (our biggest prayer!)  We do know that we want a second opinion and our number one priority is to allow Douglas whatever it is he needs to heal and FIGHT!  We are asking for your help financially so that Douglas can get a PET scan, to pay copays and just general living expenses as we don't currently have Douglas' full salary.  If you can support our family financially that would be amazing.
