We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Doug Wilson on October 19th, 2023. Doug dedicated his life to serving. He was a dedicated Husband, Father, Friend and Public Servant.

In 2020 Doug faced a series of serious health challenges. This illness was debilitating and forced him into retirement. Dana was by his side sacrificing herself and her work while assisting him in this very long battle. After he retired from the Parkland PD, a cascade of events began. His health further deteriorated. Medical expenses, insane prescriptions costs, specialized care, etc. fell on their household. Their financial situation decimated by so many things. Despite the relentless efforts of Doug's family, these costs have become an overwhelming financial challenge.

As Doug's fought his very long courageous battle, he regularly expressed his concern about Dana after his passing. Specifically, with no life insurance, how she would survive the financial burden left to her after he died.

As friends, family, and loved ones, we want to ease Dana's burden. Let's come together as a community to honor his legacy and provide financial relief to Dana as she attempts to move forward with her life after losing her best friend, husband, and soulmate of more than 45 Years.
