The Memorial of Douglas W Hernandez Sr

Hi my name is Venessa, the mother of Douglas Jr and Roman, Douglas's youngest children.

I raised funds for Douglas W. Hernandez Memorial and covered the remainder of the balance.

My mission was to create a healing environment for his children, all 5 of them, this remains unchanged.

Some of Mine and Doug's close family members and friends share the original idea of creating a place for people to visit, leave flowers, and spend time. A beautiful goal has been set and reached for those who need time with Douglas on their own terms.

Doug's closest family were not welcome at his funeral although we were his everything for his last 9 years of life. Also some of Doug's family members were not invited at all to the funeral held by his church. Doug's obituary was poorly written with very little about him or his life. No friends or family were allowed to speak or remember him the way he deserved.

A memorial is being created for Doug, and i our only goal has been achieved!.

Unfortunately my children have yet to get closure and have yet to receive their father's ashes and most likely will not get them.

Please join us to lay flowers and say goodbye to their dad. Douglas was very important to their lives as he was an active person in their lives. We very much miss his laughs, jokes and piggy back rides.

I put the down payment on Monday April 15th, 2024. This was a huge step in the right Direction for the kids and people who loved Douglas Sr. And most importantly to honor Douglas Sr's memory.

All Dougie and Roman want is to put flowers down for their father. To find peace for themselves and their father.

Update as of 08/02/2024 Douglas's Memorial Stone is paid in full.
