Doug Gall, an unforgettable name..and human. Doug passed the weekend of June 11th, from complications of surgery. He deeply loved the ocean and enjoyed the beautiful places he traveled to during his years on tour. From the epic surf to the never-ending band tours, he never stopped caring for the people around him.
Four children survive Doug; Dylan, Graysen, Ellen, and Gabriela. He had a completely different life he lived being this crazy rock and- roll surfer before he moved on to yet another beautiful chapter in his life. Doug was many things, but one thing that he undoubtedly was, was a good dad. Doug's children were his everything. And although he would have given everything for them never to have to worry, life just had to serve its lemons and make that a difficult wish.
Doug cared for his mother Ellen Gall, in her last years before she passed from Dementia early this year. Having said this, it became a huge financial burden on Doug and the family.
Fortunately, but unfortunately, Doug lived life to the fullest and could not leave much behind for his children due to significant life events.
Doug's children are asking for help from his friends, acquaintances and loved ones to help them cover the costs of his memorial service. No one ever wants to feel the unnatural burden of losing a parent, so let's come together to help his family in this time of need.
Because Doug had so many friends from around the world, the dates for his service are planned for Saturday July 9th. Starting with a paddle out at 10:30 am at Latham Plaza, followed by a gathering for the ultimate celebration of life at Surfer the bar from 12 to 3pm.
