Dougie’s NICU journey

Baby Dougie and first time parents (Julie and Connor) need help so that they can stay close while Dougie is hospitalized in Vancouver Women’s hospital NICU, 5 hours away from home and their support systems. Dougie made his early entrance at just 25 weeks old, weighing a mere 2.2lbs. They were quickly transferred from Kamloops to VCH so Dougie could get the best care possible. Doctors have been incredible working to stabilize the little guy and helping Mom and Dad understand everything step by step. They have been told to expect a minimum stay of 10-15 weeks in the NICU. Our aim is to raise funds for Mom and Dad to help cover some of the costs incurred from finding accommodations and accumulating bills back home as they have lost their incomes during this time as well. If you are able to give in any sense, it would be immensely appreciated. We hope to help ease the financial burden so they can focus on Dougie’s fight and loving each other through this challenging time. Thank you.
