A note to our friends and family...

Doug was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer on labor day 2016. Cancer cells were found located in the fluid surrounding his lungs (malignant pleural effusion ). With this type of cancer, the survival rate to 5 years from the diagnosis is less than 10%. There is no cure at this time, but it's possible to slow the growth and prolong life with various treatments.

We intend to enjoy each day, laugh alot, and look for what we can appreciate that IS good.

My dad once said "you can't give anything away in this life." "Something always comes back, usually even better." We are asking for your spiritual support; and, if you are so moved, financial help. Thank you and bless all of you who have responded with kind words, thoughts and deeds.
