Doug Merle Biletnikoff, 50, of Lucinda passed away on Tuesday August 18, 2015 following a short illness. Doug graduated from McDowell High School in Kane in 1982. Doug was most recently a truck driver for BRT in Shippenville. He was known by the handle “Broken Arrow”. He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR racing. “Uncle Doug” enjoyed spending time with many friends that considered him family. He will be remembered most for his love of Ford Trucks, sense of fun and smile around campfires.
Doug passed away unexpectedly and very suddenly. He had been ill the last few months of his life and unable to work. He left behind a small amount of debt including final expenses for cremation (and all costs that go with that). Doug requested no services, but even with the basic package that the funeral home has to offer, there is still a significant price tag that needs to be covered.
Doug’s girlfriend, Anne, supported Doug in the final days of his life and depleted her finances helping with his medical expenses and care. Never expecting that the end was this close, she left nothing to cover final expenses. We, friends of Doug, that considered him like family, are asking for a small donation to help cover his final expenses. Monies will go first towards his final expenses at the funeral home, second to cover a few outstanding bills that he owed, and anything extra will be donated to Doug’s charity of choice (Clarion PUPs).
