Dr. Doug Rockacy, a beloved Pittsburgh Emergency Physician, died in a tragic accident on July 16, 2022 at the age of 47. Doug was a dedicated physician caring for ill and injured patients at UPMC Mercy for the last twenty years.

Known for his infectious smile and "never being in a bad mood" he was the doctor who knew everyone's name. He was adored by his patients, respected by colleagues, and loved by the staff and everyone who came in contact with him. He had a way of making everyone feel special.

Doug was the perfect dad and husband. He beamed with pride when talking about his family. He is survived by his wife Wendy (his high school sweetheart) and his two wonderful children, Claire and Russell. Claire is a senior in high school and is an avid horseback rider. Russell is a sophmore and loved golfing with his dad.

This fundraiser has been set up to establish a college memorial fund for Claire and Russell, who will be heading off to college very soon.
