Doug O’Neill Family Memorial
Douglas O’Neill was my uncle who was loved by everyone he ever came into contact with.
On June 9, 2020, he passed away suddenly and it has completely devastated our family beyond any belief we could imagine.
Doug was an organ donor, an avid surfer and beach goer, his smile lit up every room he ever walked into. He was a healthy, happy father and husband and had the most amazing laugh.
He is survived by his beautiful wife Lisa and his son, Ian. Ian attends college and is a strong, special soul just like his father.
This devastating tragedy has taken place during our pandemic of Covid-19 so it is very difficult for all to have steady income or if working from home take time off to grieve this unexpected, horrific loss.
I am asking to please donate no matter how big or small any amount to help the family get through all of the expenses it comes with losing someone unexpectedly, during a time of financial crisis, to help with any and all medical bills, or for his son to be able to continue to follow his dreams and help with college.
This is in no way an act of charity, it is an act of love and support by others who know how difficult it is to continue moving forward in a grieving process while also having to worry about the expenses the future holds. I also wanted to make an undate on another allocation of the extremely generous donations. As many of us know, Doug was a well respected lifeguard and lover of the ocean and beach. We will be dedicating a bench in his honor at his favorite spot in Long Beach. This is where his memory will live on, as well as in all our hearts.
Thank you so much and God bless you all.
