January 9 2019 Doug & I found out the devastating news that he had a Grade IV Multiforme Glioblastoma Brain Tumor. Despite the terminal diagnosis Doug and our family began to fight against all odds. In addition to Dougs' amazing good attitude towards life and His strong Faith in God, we began Clinical trials to try and stop the progression of this Cancer. His Tumor grew back not once but twice and in 14 months Doug underwent 3 Brain Surgeries. After his 3rd surgery Doug had major deficits in his speech and entire right site was compromised. Shortly after he suffered from multiple brain seizures which added to his already weakened state.
I was just given the news that Doug only has a few months left and I have made the decision to give him the best care possible by admitting him to a full time Hospice Facility. Unfortunately Insurance does not cover all the costs involved. Three surgeries and many different treatments, has left his family with medical bills and they now have the financial burden of a daily hospice bill.
They need our help.
Your donation will go towards helping to pay for previous medical bills and his current Hospice bill which our insurance does not cover. It will also go to my children to help support there needs after their dad is gone.
Doug was the most generous , faithful, loving , hardworking human being we have ever known and it is so sad to watch him slip away from us. Our confidence is in knowing that soon he will be face to face with Jesus and hear the words "Welcome home my son, good and faithful servant."
Any help would be so greatly appreciated by our family. If you are unable to help financially please remember us in your thoughts and prayers.
