Doug Needs Us! Car Accident Recovery Fund

Many of you know Doug, and love his work, or were his students/mentees/group members. Recently, Doug was rear-ended in one of those accidents that totals a car and gives a concussion. In one moment, this summer got much harder.

We know a poet's life is rich in observation, and often short on cash. We know concussions require time that is very quiet and peaceful. A worrying brain (about how to replace a car) isn't the best healing brain. Friends of Doug are gathering to raise these funds so that the purchase of a car isn't a stressor. Insurance didn't give him a lot for his totaled car. If we raise enough to buy him some time, bodywork, and whatever else makes healing easier, so much the better. Whenever Doug can help others, he does so graciously. Let's do the same for him.
