Doug Manross’s Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
Friends, Family, and Compassionate Supporters,
I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. I am speaking out to you today with a heavy heart but a glimmer of hope. My name is Macie Manross and I am speaking on behalf of my father, Doug Manross. Doug is in need of your support for a life changing procedure - a kidney transplant.
In 2020, Doug was hospitalized after a heart attack that led him to have a quadruple bypass surgery, which ultimately resulted in him going into kidney failure. This has taken a toll on every aspect of his life, but he has remained resilient. Doug has attended dialysis roughly 16 hours weekly for the last 4 years. This doesn’t include the hours of sleep he has to catch up on following his dialysis treatments instead of doing the activities he once loved. Sometimes it feels like he’s sleeping his life away. A kidney transplant is Doug’s best chance at a healthier and more fulfilling life.
The cost of a kidney transplant is substantial, and while he has insurance, it doesn't cover all the associated expenses. From dialysis itself, and medical bills to post-surgery care, the financial burden is overwhelming. This is where my family and I humbly ask for your support. I have created this GoFundMe page to raise funds that will help Doug cover the costs of the transplant and ensure a smoother recovery process.
Your generosity can make a world of difference, giving Doug the chance to live a life free from the constraints of his current health challenges. Truly any contribution, no matter how small, will be one step forward to making this procedure a reality. Additionally, your positive thoughts, prayers, and shares of this go fund me are equally valued and appreciated.
If you are unable to contribute financially, your moral support means the world to us. My hope is that together we can make an impact, and give Doug a second chance at life.
With gratitude,
