Doug Lingren's Aero Medical Evacuation

Hi, my name is Peter Masley and like a lot of people, I'm a friend of Doug Lingren. Out of the blue, Doug was diagnosed with mesothelioma (a type of lung cancer) in December with confirmation in January after biopsies were done. There is no cure for mesothelioma. He had some surgery to stabilize the lung and felt better. With the admonition to try and live his normal life, after much thought, they took their annual trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama. All went well the first week and then he had severe difficulty breathing and complications from the disease. At this point, there is little they can do. He is on very high oxygen support. Doug's wish is to go home. In his current condition, the only option is a medical evacuation by air ambulance able to provide intensive care. As you can imagine this is not inexpensive.
