Hello everybody as to who all know Doug and Sandy Green know how much they love and care about others. At this time Sandy is having to preplan and prepare for the outcome of being left brokenhearted and empty inside. Cruel news had interrupted becoming a huge interruption of the knowing of what needs to be done. to seek out for a little bit of help
For anyone that does not know Doug’s story he suffers from a hereditary disease called non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, and unfortunately, the only way to fix this is a liver transplant to cure the issue.
There were many different requirements to meet guidelines of a transplant list. Doug had successfully completed all of this with Sandy being the sole provider endlessly phone calls transporting Doug to and from Boston many many times for different appointments /testing with high hopes to be accepted for a transplant only to be let down.
Doug ended up going to the hospital September 5th,,2025 for some confusion . Well, there was more than confusion going on he was admitted an transported to CMC in Manchester, New Hampshire then again air lifted from CMC to MGH in Boston, where met with all the specialist from the transplant team as his oxygen had depleted significantly where he was requiring high flow oxygen to keep him stable. Unfortunately, he was denied with any possible. Hope to continue his life due to the fact of immobility..
His loving caring and the love of his life didn’t take that for an answer. Sandy reached out to Lahey hospital in Massachusetts, where he could possibly be reevaluated by the liver team there with great hopes: Doug was denied due to complication of the lungs and possibly would not make it threw a 15 hour surgery. This has left his wife children, grandson, family, and friends at a loss of heartbreak. Doug& Sandy met with the doctors and the decision for reevaluation of a liver transplant was denied. This warranted a decision of what next steps were. Doug’s request was to be at home where he could be with family before he left this earth.
Doug is currently home on Hospice and living the end of his life .
Sandy is up against a lot of different financial burdens as this was not what was intended .
We Are seeking for some help. We are asking for even one dollar to put towards Doug‘s cremation which cost between 3000 and $4000 in order for him to be cremated. The remainder of the money what is not used will go towards electric bill. This amount of money needs to be given to Colebrook funeral home. Doug is currently home but is not doing well. He has Hospice in daily. Doug returned home SundayOct. 5th 2025. Please continue to pray and send positive vibes to Doug and Sandy and their family.
much love to all!
