Double-Lung Transplant and caretaker brother need a home
Donation protected
My sister ( Belinda) needs a double-lung transplant. I am her brother and am her only family member in Montreal. We are both single, never been married and don't have any children. Belinda has lived her life on a couch for the past 4 years and has been kept alive with oxygen tanks that she needs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. She can stand for 1 to 2 minutes maximum at a time. This has been heartbreaking for me to witness and devastating for her. She used to be a waitress who could do 12 hour shifts, she was a very physical person, so to be confined to a couch has broken her spirit and left her completely demoralized. I want to buy her a used electric wheelchair, help her pay for her groceries and take her out for an occasional dinner. I also want her to see a therapist, I can see how depressed she is and want to help her get out of this terrible state of mind. Therapists are expensive and neither I nor herself have the means to afford such services. I live in a room with other men in a subsidized housing building and am trying to get her into a building that can attend to her considerable medical needs. I am 60, my sister is 53, it is just us two. Belinda needs me, her now ex-boyfriend could not handle her situation, so I'm the only person left who can help her regain enough strength so that she can receive a double-lung transplant which she desperately needs.Thank-You in advance for any consideration.
Jason and Belinda Higgins.
P.S. My good friend Tristan Lauber has kindly volunteered to host this GoFundMe for us.
