After losing her wife to brain cancer just a few short years ago, our friend Kim Swinea is once again suffering another devastating loss.

On Tuesday January 31st, Kim was home with her beloved cat “Mouse” when a fire broke out. Much of the house has suffered smoke and water damage but the items in her bedroom and bathroom are a complete loss.

The most heartbreaking news is that “Mouse” was unable to make it out. Kim could hear him, but unfortunately couldn’t get to him due to the massive amount of thick smoke.

We are organizing this fundraiser to help Kim with her immediate needs including replacing her clothing, shoes, outerwear, toiletries, new glasses and contacts that were destroyed in the fire, among other things. We also hope to help cover any type of deductible that she may have.
