My name is Mariah. I am starting this fundraiser for my Auntie Dana. Anyone who knows me knows that I believe she is one of the most important people on the planet.

Recently, my aunt has been hit with a double whammy, being diagnosed with breast cancer and losing her home of 10 years at almost the exact same time. She has done her best to face these hardships with grace and hope, choosing to find joy and laughter instead of focusing on the fear and sadness.

She has a good support system but needs help. She will be having a double mastectomy in a couple weeks. With the help of family and friends, she now has a 5th Wheel to stay in until something more permanent can be worked out. However, gas is needed to fill the generator daily and there are copays, deductibles, and supplies needed to help her through her recovery period.

I am asking for help for her. Dana has always been one to give you her last $10 if you need it. She leads her life with love and compassion. She already feels guilty asking for the help she has received up to this point. So now I'm asking for her. Please help, only if you're able to without hurting yourself, and please share.
