Hello, my name is Tiffany and my sister and I are fundraising to help our mom Tami. She just got accepted on the lung transplant list. She lives in Oregon and the double lung transplant will be at Stanford in California. After the procedure, and once released from the hospital, she will have to live in an apartment close to Stanford for transplant patients. She will be living there for up to 6 months after surgery. She will be required to pay rent for the apartment along with her home in Oregon. My dad will be able to take off work up to 3 months to care for her. While she is in the hospital, he will have to stay in a hotel until the hospital transfers her to the medical apartment. If she is still in the medical apartment when my dad has to go back to work, she has friends and family taking shifts to help her in recovery. Until she is able to go home.

Stanford transplant team recommends patients have a minimum of $10,000 in the bank to cover costs beyond what insurance pays for. I'm hoping to help raise enough money so that my parents do not have to worry and can focus on the surgery and recovery.
