Double Lung Transplant After Care

Hello, my name is Yolanda and we are setting up this GoFundMe Fundraiser on behalf of my Uncle Martin Martinez. He was diagnosed 5 years ago with Interstitial Lung Disease and will require a double lung transplant. He has been a truck driver for the past 25 years, but over the past year, his illness has gotten much worse so he hasn't been able to work for the past 4 months. He has gone through the steps needed to get on the waiting list for the double lung transplant. Once he receives the call he will need to get to UCSF to prepare for the surgery. After surgery, he will be in the hospital for 3 weeks, and for 6 weeks after he gets out of the hospital he will need to stay close by in a hotel. They require them to stay close for any complications and to attend at least 2-3 appointments a week. Any contribution would greatly be appreciated to help with miscellaneous expenses such as hotel, parking, travel, and any hospital expenses not covered by insurance. Please keep him in your prayers.
