"Double Doogue" take on Hyrox for Macmillan Cancer Support

Hi everyone,

Myself and my sister Sinéad have taken on a challenge this year and are doing a doubles race (our first one together!!) at Hyrox Dublin in November to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a very worthy charity that is officially partnered with Hyrox. Donations to Macmillan will enable them to support those living with cancer and whom so many desperately need that support whatever form it may be.

Cancer is a frightening disease that is so close to home for many including both our family and wider friends' families and unfortunately only recently hit home very close for Sinéad who lost her friend Laura through this disease.

For anyone who is familiar with Hyrox, it is the ultimate one-of-a-kind fitness race that pushes participants to their limits, testing strength, endurance and mental toughness. For us, we do love fitness and keeping fit and healthy but this will indeed be one of the toughest races we have completed to date (particularly given I am not a runner)!!
