Double Amputee-Please support Jason Parker

Through no fault of his own, my 53 year old brother Jason Parker is about to become a double amputee. Following a freak car accident in 2010 when a large bolder hit his car causing untold permanent damage to his body Jason has fought hard to return to a healthy life for the past decade.
Sadly, after battling it out, nobody would take responsibility for this accident and Jason has been left to manage incredible expenses with very little financial assistance. Coming up to 10 years he has undergone 20 surgeries including severe complications and many setbacks. He has dealt with several spinal surgeries, internal bleeding, heart attack as well as kidney failure and developing full blown diabetes while constantly living with excruciating pain.
Again, through no fault of his own, he contracted a superbug staph infection whilst in hospital which led to his most recent surgeries, these proved to be the hardest, with the amputation of one leg and his big toe on his other leg. Through sheer determination and his strong will he bounced back from these frightening and debilitating procedures and took on the challenge of learning to live as an amputee.
In devastating news the staph infection has recently returned and he will urgently have his other leg removed to stop the spread of this ferocious staph attack in its tracks. He is now coming to terms to face life as a double amputee.
After managing to deal with a decade of serious procedures, severe pain and monstrous medical bills Jason is going to need as much help as he can get. Once he has this operation the doctors say he can finally be free of infection and live life to the best a double amputee can. In the initial phase post op and through rehabilitation costs will be astronomical. He will need a complete new housing set up in order for him to progress through this challenging time. The list of requirements is enormous and costly. Jason will need 24 hour care, a double amputee specific bed with crane lifting infrastructure, ramps, wide open doorways for wheelchair access, a disability built bathroom and kitchen, a disability dog to help with his daily needs, ongoing medical treatment including new prosthetic legs and these are a few of the requirements just for basic living.
Thankfully my family and I have the space to build a speciality fitted granny flat on our property but we, nor nobody else in the family, are in a position to finance the incredible costs involved in creating the specialised needs for Jason. Jason is incredibly positive and resilient, he’s a fighter but this battle has him and us afraid in both a well-being and financial sense.
Our goal is to make this battle a little easier for him to give him a brighter future. We have no choice but to reach out for financial support in order to give Jason the care and best chance he can have to get through this. Please give what you can, every dollar will help reach our goal. We intend to be fully transparent and reconcile all monies raised and we thank you so very much for your consideration and help, it means the world to us all and of course to Jason.
