Double Amputee Sandra -A Drunk Driver Totaled Car

Hi my name is Elizabeth DeStephens. My neighbor Sandra Lopez's only car was totaled by a drunk driver this evening. Sandra is a double amputee and requires dialysis 3x/week. The driver evidently has multiple DUIs, and we are unsure when Sandra will receive insurance reimbursement, whether the policy covers a rental car, etc.

The family will need to go out of pocket to get Sandra to dialysis, and likely to replace their SUV. It is old - but was in excellent shape before the accident - and we are not hopeful they will receive enough from insurance to purchase a reliable replacement.

The family has depleted all their savings with Sandra's health issues. She recently lost her second leg. Her husband just went back to work as an electrician. They spent almost $2,000 to build the wheelchair ramp you see in the picture.

This is a hardworking, proud family that has fallen on hard times due to no fault of their own. They have been my neighbors for over 15 years. All funds will be given directly to Sandra. Please help.
