Doua Tong Pao Xiong Cancer Donation

Please help my husband in the fight for his life.

This is a hard story for me to share and it is very hard for me to ask for help as I feel sad asking but realized I have no option but to ask for your help.

Hello, my name is Xong Yang and my husband Doua Tong Pao Xiong was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2017. We live in Redding California. We have 3 beautiful children. We never imagined that bad luck would fall upon us. Tong Pao always told me to just remain humble and be kind to everyone and help anyone that comes to us when in need. If we can make someone happy, then we are happy. But we didn't get lucky and Tong Pao got ill.

After seeking treatment in Mexico, we thought that everything will be okay. We were blessed with additional time since 2017. But in early 2022, we received additional bad news. Cancer had spread to his lungs and metastasis to the spine. In September, Tong Pao underwent surgery on the lung. In December, he had another surgery on the spine. It has been an ongoing battle for us since the early months of 2022 until now, traveling every week for chemo to Sacramento and using whatever finances we had left to get there.

In December 2022, we heard more bad news that there's not much left our doctors can do. As any wife would do, I am not about to give up. I seek to find a fight for my husband's life. I can't imagine a life without him. I decided that we're going with an alternative approach with a more holistic way to help find a cure. The route we're going through, will not be covered by any health insurance. I feel that we hit a roadblock but my family suggests I turn to you all for help. This is the only chance I have left in saving my husband's life. I can't do it alone and we have exhausted all our finances. I still want him to see our children's weddings; want him to be a grandpa and live a long life with us. I am thankful and aware that a family member is collecting some money for us. And if you have donated to that personally, we thank you.
