Dory Torrez’s Cancer Expenses
Donation protected
For the past few months, my dad Dory Torrez has been having a hard time swallowing solid foods and feeling a pain in his stomach. On Thursday, March 3rd, the pain became so intolerable he finally decided to go into the ER. Doctors confirmed our worst case scenario.
Our dad, brother, uncle, family & friend has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. It started in his esophagus and, unfortunately, by the time it was caught it had already spread to his liver. They’ve told us it is treatable but incurable. We are still waiting to hear on exactly what our next steps are because he has not been given a conclusive timeline, but they have told us they would like for him to start rounds of chemo to help give us more time.
Unfortunately, Dory does NOT have life insurance and we are trying to plan ahead to cover the costs of a pending funeral.
We are also asking for your help to cover many of the expenses that are to come including his current hospital stay, chemotherapy sessions and any other future medical recommendations made by his doctors.
Per Dory’s request, if you wish to reach out to him directly, please send him a text message. He will reach back out to you with a message or a phone call as he is feeling up to it.
Thank you all so much for your support and understanding during this difficult time.
