Dorothy's Journey To Recovery

On Tuesday February 9th, my mother was driving to work and had an episode where she was feeling very dizzy and out of sorts. She pulled over in the first driveway that she could and started to honk your horn relentlessly to get somebody's attention. It worked and a man named Bruce came out of his house and saw that my mom was disoriented, 911 was called and she was taken to hospital by paramedics. She has been in the hospital ever since and will not be released until she is well enough to do so. At first they thought it was a stroke but after many tests including CT scan, MRI Etc, she was cleared of a stroke. Thank God. She has been diagnosed with an extreme form of vertigo, her inner ears are inflamed and have caused this episode to happen. She is unable to walk without assistance or pretty much do anything without assistance. And she faces a long road to recovery. They are still unable to get her blood pressure under control which is a major worry to all of us. We are all praying for a full recovery and I just really want to help my mom out in these terrible times. She is going to be unable to work for a minimum of 3 months. My mom is a healtg care aide that serves Campbell River and Quadra Island. She has worked as a health care aide in Campbell River for over 20 years. She spends her life looking after other people. She absolutely loves her clients and already misses them so much. My mom has helped out the elderly in this community for a very long time and each of her clients hold a very special place in her heart. Now is the time that we need to help her out as she has done so much for others. I would like to help alleviate the cost of rent, groceries, car payment and insurance Etc. If you are able to donate anything at all or even share this page we would be more than happy and grateful to you. I just really want my mom to get the help that she needs and I want her to not stress about anything Financial while she heals and focuses on getting better. I know my mom would be more than grateful and appreciative of any and all help that she receives. Our family is doing everything that we need to to set things up for her when she is able to get back home. And she will have the help and care that she needs. I just really want to alleviate the financial stress.
