Dorota Styrnik Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On morning of April 14, 2023, Dorota was involved in a life threatening accident on her way to work. To this day, the loving wife and caring mother of two beautiful girls still continues to fight in her recovery from the damages left that unfortunate morning.
Dorota was rushed to the Christ Hospital following the car accident experiencing severe internal bleeding, multiple fractures and a broken pelvis, ribs, and femur. She went into cardiac arrest once she got to the hospital. After they were able to restart her heart, she immediately went into surgery. She then spent several weeks in a medically induced coma. When she started waking up it was evident to the doctors she suffered from a stroke due to the accident. The stroke probably caused the most damage as it partially paralyzed her left arm and impaired her vision. She spent the next few months in the hospital while her spinal and femur fractures healed. Right before she got discharged she had to have emergency abdominal surgery due to a damaged intestine. After multiple surgeries she was able to go to physical therapy. At this point, it became evident that her arm and eyesight were never going to be the same.
With the support of her loved ones and her own strength, Dorota has been able to achieve tremendous progress in the past seven months. She continues to increase her function mobility through frequent physical therapy sessions and actively visits specialists to find new solutions and receive different opinions. By the grace of God, our friend will soon be back to her old life. We ask that anybody who can help to please contribute to her medical recovery fund so that her family can seek the best help possible. To those who are unable to provide financial support, we would greatly appreciate if you keep Dorota’s recovery in your thoughts and prayers.
